Dream Makers San Luis Obispo is a local nonprofit that fulfills final wishes for adults with terminal illness in our community. We create simple, deeply personal experiences that bring peace, joy, and connection to those nearing the end of life.

Our Dreams aren’t extravagant — but they are meaningful. A beach day with family. A ride in a classic car. A reunion with a loved one. These are the moments that matter most, and we’re here to make them possible.

What we do

Since our founding nearly 10 years ago, we’ve helped bring almost 100 dreams to life for individuals in San Luis Obispo County facing life-limiting illness.

We:

Listen to each Dreamer’s unique wish
Plan and coordinate with care and compassion
Work with local partners, donors, and volunteers to make each moment feel personal and heartfelt

Dream Makers is powered entirely by volunteers and supported by generous individuals and businesses who believe in creating beauty at the end of life.

Why It Matters

At the end of life, it’s often the small things that mean the most. A last celebration. A favorite meal. A visit from someone you love. These moments can bring healing, closure, and light in a time that’s often difficult.

We believe everyone deserves to feel seen, honored, and celebrated.
